Adaptive Charging for the Future of Mobility: Why Adjustable Charging Gaps Are Essential for EVs and Autonomous Fleets
QKOIL autonomous charging system illustrating an overhead wireless EV charging setup with an adjustable transmitting coil suspended from a cable and a receiving coil mounted on the vehicle roof, showing a tight, optimized charging gap within an autonomous vehicle fleet charging hub.
Overhead Inductive Power Transfer for Autonomous Mobility, Industrial Robotics, and Consumer EVs
QKOIL’s overhead inductive charging architecture provides an alternative system topology with structural, operational, and cost advantages for autonomous vehicles (AVs), industrial autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), and consumer EV applications.
EV Charging Solutions, LLC Files New U.S. Patent Application Covering Expanded Capabilities of the QKOIL™ Overhead Inductive Wireless Charging System
This latest patent application builds on EV Charging Solutions’ growing intellectual property portfolio surrounding the QKOIL™ overhead inductive wireless charging platform. The QKOIL™ system features a gantry charging architecture that supports automated positioning and deployment of a charge transmitting coil from an overhead support structure. The transmitting coil can be selectively lowered toward a corresponding receiving coil located on or within a target electric mobility system, enabling automatic, contactless charging without the need for human intervention, manual cable handling, or precise vehicle alignment.
